I love how you've done a lot of cutting back and fourth between visually similar scenes that have different moods or contexts. That really builds up the sense of how Tony's life feels overwhelming and uncontrollable. The cut at 0:31 between Tony getting ready to race and Tony being tortured, and then from Tony squinting at the light when he opens the Stark Expo and squinting at the light when he comes out of the cave worked really well for me. They really viscerally show you how Tony can't quite mentally escape what happened; even when he's doing stuff he enjoys/is in control of, that vulnerability is still there.
The montage of Tony being thrown at 1:34 was really effective. Obviously it works as a visual metaphor for Tony not being able to control what happens to him, but I like how it builds on that feeling by being slightly disorientating to watch. And on a non-metaphorical level, seeing Tony being subject to a string of attacks without seeing him get to regroup or fight back makes Tony being on the receiving end of physical violence feel sort of inevitable, which works really well to show Tony's feelings of physical, as well as emotional, vulnerability. There's a reason he can't stop engineering himself better and better armour.
I also really loved the cuts at 2:39 from Tony dropping the missile through the portal to the clips of Tony picking himself up. You've built up this whole sense of overwhelmingness throughout the vid, and it sort of feels like Tony closing his eyes as he lets go of the missile is Tony finally giving in to that. And that could be a tragic sort of peace, that he's given in to the 'inevitability' of his own death, but instead of leaving that moment of peace you interrupt it with Tony getting up again. Even when he's at the most overwhelmed he's ever been, even when he's been knocked down over and over, he has to keep getting up.
And just. TONY. Everything is always too much and he always keeps going anyway. I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS. ;__;
