Such Dorks

Doctor Who is coming back this Saturday, which means that in a little less than 72 hours' time, my brain is going to be All Doctor Who All The Time, and consequently so will this journal.

But for now, here is a thing that is not Doctor Who (or, at least, only somewhat Doctor Who): The Such Dorks Wedding Album

As pretty much all of you will know (because most of you were there :-P) such_heights and happydork got married last weekend, in the most awesome space-themed wedding to ever wedding. In honour of this occasion, and because I love them both very much, I decided to exploit all my extremely talented friends, and, with the help of Awesome Flatmate K, put together a book of fannish joy for such_heights and happydork, full of messages from some of their fictional loves who sadly couldn't make the wedding. Some of these are now up on the AO3, thanks to the lovely thingswithwings, and hopefully a few more will go up over the next week. Go! Read! Cry happy tears!

I am incredibly grateful to carawj, cosmic_llin, fly_to_dawn, gnimaerd, kaydeefalls, raven, usuallyhats, silly_cleo, soupytwist thingswithwings, qian, and Awesome Flatmates K and L for all the beautiful, moving, funny, delightful things they made for the book! <3

Also the album is the single greatest wedding gift idea yet contrived by human kind. :D

I DON'T KNOW BUT I AM NOT READY. NO. REMOTELY. READY. Like, yes, I know I've had since last Christmas to prepare for this BUT I'M STILL NOT READY.

(Mostly I'm not looking forward to having to go into work on a Monday morning after Doctor Who. I really do mean it when I say my brain is All DW All The Time. It is very hard to think about other things, and in my old job which was boring and easy that was FINE, but in my current job I have to THINK and IT'S GOING TO BE SO HARD /o\)

And <3 thank you so much for your poem! They really, really loved it and flailed a LOT.
