It would also never have happened if the lovely 1ightning had not introduced me to this wonderful fandom way back in October, and squee'd with me week after week until I was hooked. And finally, it would never have happened if such_heights, who is a truly marvellous human being, did not have the patience of a SAINT, and not only taught me from scratch how to vid, but dealt calmly with each and every one of my technical problems, beta'd the vid, and listened ENDLESSLY to my flailings. So thank you all of you! ♥

:-D JOHN AND RODNEYYYYYYYYYYY! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! They are the ones responsible for getting me actually MAKING vids, and reading fic in a serious way, and generally engaging with fandom in more active way.

Though, ack, it's so weird when people comment on this vid....it's the first I ever made and it's so oooold and clunky! But I'm glad it gave you nostalgia feelings :-)

:DDDD SGA is definitely one of those fandoms that will always have a place in my heart. DORKS IN LOVE.

No doubt your editing has gotten a lot slicker, but this is an amazing song for them and they are just so cute together that it's impossible for me not to just beam all the way through this vid. Plus, just because you've improved doesn't mean this is bad. Am I capable of not grinning like a loon at John hitting Rodney to the trumpets at 1:22? NO I AM NOT.

:-D Adorable dorks in love! They are my faaaaavourites. (Along with all my other favourites. I have lots of favourites. But John and Rodney are DEFINITELY up there.) They just have such a great physicality together...they're so flaily and eye-rolly and arm-wavy and generally tactile in interesting ways. I just really, really don't see how people can not ship them. They make me grin like loons whenever I watch SGA :-D Remember that time the whole city was about to be destroyed by the sun, and everyone in it was experiencing mind-blowing headaches, and John and Rodney went on a whale-watching date? Good times....

I think the show just makes more sense if you just assume that at all times John and Rodney are on a date with each other. They're just both quite bad at dating.

(Remote control cars! Accidentally dictating the lives of entire civilizations competitively! Discussing superheroes! Awkwardly expressing affection for one another! TOTALLY A DATE.)

Yeah, their dates do have a habit of getting interrupted by life-or-death scenarios....but fortunately that just gives them the opportunity to save each other! \o/ It's a bad habit they seem to have got into.

And SERIOUSLY - in 'Outcast' (which was WRITTEN by JFlan...) his brother gives him such a sarcastic *uh huh I don't believe you* look when he tries to pass Ronon off as his 'civilian contractor'...what are we supposed to think he is assuming?!

Also I LOVE THEIR SUPERHERO DISCUSSIONS. I love how dismissive they are of each other's favourite heroes. :-D And I have a whole crack theory about how John joined the airforce in a fit of pique because when he was growing up he really just wanted to be a superhero ('Batman did it all the time!') and he auditioned for a few roles in action films but kept getting cast as the wacky sidekick. So one day he packed it all in and joined the airforce where he thought he could be a real superhero.

Um. Yeah. I think I need to watch some more SGA again now....

This is such a gem! I can't get over how perfectly the song captures these two adorkable space(mad)men and why we love them so. Everything about the clips you chose and the timing (the triple smack to the brass fanfare! the Gate falling into the lava as "we just missed the last bus home"!) was delightful.
