notes: There are many, MANY fabulous vids out there about John, but almost all of them focus on the guilt and darkness in his character - so I thought it was high time that someone made a vid about the other side of Lt Col John Sheppard, and showed him up as the ridiculous dorkface he really is. I mean, seriously, look at the guy - how is he the head of military operations in a secret base in another galaxy? How? This is the guy who climbs the tower because 'Batman did it all the time', who frequently quotes from geeky movies, and whose summary of his job is 'I fought a scary monster. It's what I do best.' I have a personal crack theory that John wanted to be an action hero starring in Hollywood blockbusters, before joining the airforce in a fit of pique after being continually cast as the wacky sidekick. But that's a story for another day. Warning: contains high doses of JOHN'S FACE.

The song is in French, and consists entirely of slang and silly phrases. 'Ça Plane Pour Moi' roughly translates as 'that works for me'. The original lyrics and a pretty good translation can be found here, if you're interested, but I have mostly ignored them, apart from when really obvious words stood out.

But omg if you are just getting into SGA now you have SO MUCH JOY AHEAD OF YOU. I have never encountered another fandom like it in terms of creativity - the vids and the fic out there are mind-bogglingly inventive. And, of course, the show is wonderful wacky fun :-D
