<3 Thank you for sneakily high-fiving me at work! It's so FRUSTRATING isn't it? I have nothing at all against people having favourites, or even actively disliking characters/showrunners/seasons, even if that dislike isn't really based on anything rational. It's the vocal and unnecessary vitriol that I object to. And the ascribing a relative value to everything. Every season/companion/Doctor has to be 'better' or 'worse' than the previous one, and it makes me sad. People at work who know I love Doctor Who have said to me 'I've enjoyed this season so much! I love Bill! She's so much better than Clara! I'm so glad the show has got GOOD again!' and I'm like...why would you say that to me?
