Wow, the editing on this is incredibly sharp -- I love all of the visual parallels you pull out of the source, and how fluid and connected that makes it feel, all of a piece. Lovely work.

Guh, this is so good. I had to watch it twice through right away. I love how mechanical the beginning is with the engineering and the percussion. And the shots near the end of Tony leaning on Bruce and Steve and Rhodey and Pepper. MY HEART. Just the way you've framed Tony trying to define himself through his persona of Iron Man.

I may have to watch this six or seven more times before I can be entirely coherent about it.

Oh my god, I love this. What a double feature! (Just so you know, I watched them in the opposite order you suggest and IT DIMINISHED MY LOVE FOR BOTH NOT AT ALL.) This is HAUNTING. The fast editing just makes it perfect. My favorite part is Iron Man pushing himself up from the pavement dissolving to Tony in the same position pushing himself up from the floor. Wow, wow, and wow.

A Tony double feature, what a treat ! I watched them in the suggested order, which gave me emotional whiplash and much flailing at the combined awesomeness.
I've already watched this several times and I love it ! I'm in awe. My favorite part is "allowed everything" with all the holograms... followed by Obie, ouch. The beginning, with Tony working then putting the armor on, and near the end, when he gets up and the others help him... Actually, I love all the parts. Sorry for the incoherency !

The 'allowed everything' part was actually the starting point for this vid - it was initially going to be all about how Tony hearts SCIENCE, but then kind of escalated....

Wow. Here via settiai, and glad I came. Heartbreaking and I love the fast edits, especially the percussive ones with the repulsor blasts. I love the oxymoron that is Tony Stark that you point out so well here: "genius billionaire playboy philanthropist" who really only feels like himself when he's Iron Man.

This was so awesome. I loved the song choice. As soon as I saw which song it was set to I said 'oh yes.' It's one of my favourite Radiohead songs and I hadn't heard that cover.
